MARKETING 101
Your website is complete, and we have done everything we know to optimize it so that Search Engines will find and index it quickly and efficiently. Will this bring you in hundreds of clients? No. Clean code, inviting design, informed keywords and strong content all help, but your website is a marketing TOOL - not the be-all and end-all of marketing itself. Even the best plane still has to be flown by a pilot, if it wants to get off the ground.
We have a few suggestions you may find helpful.
- SUBMIT YOUR SITE to as many on-line DIRECTORIES, both local and specific to your product or service, as possible
- Write "free" short 500-750 word articles on your subject and submit them to forums and related blogs
- Hopefully you have done research to identify your target market/client before commissioning a website. If not, creating and distributing a short SURVEY can help identify your market. We like SurveyMonkey.com - it's FREE!
- Update your website with new content as often as you can. New content helps to keep the Search bots interested.
- Exchange LINKS with other related professionals who are not direct competitors.
- Make sure your new website address is on all your business cards! (You'd be amazed how many people forget to do this!)
